Vows: the most genuine script of your love story

There’s something that always moves me when I’m filming a wedding, and it’s not about the landscapes or the most beautiful shots. It’s about what they say. Those words that come straight from the heart. The vows.
Because yes, vows are so much more than a tradition or just part of the ceremony. They are the most real script of the whole story they’re telling. That’s where you truly see who they are, what they’ve been through, and where they want to go together.
Sometimes vows sum up years of history. Other times, it’s a connection so strong that they knew it was right even after a short time. Many talk about what it took to get there, about fears, about changes. Some make you laugh, others make you cry, and most do both at the same time.
And that’s the beautiful part: they don’t have to sound like a perfect poem. They have to sound like you.
Vows aren’t just the heart of the ceremony, they’re also the soul of the video. They’re the thread that ties all the scenes together, giving depth and meaning to what we see. They can completely change the way a story is told. Because suddenly, that look, that hug, that slow-motion shot… all have words holding them up.
That’s why I always encourage couples to write their own vows (no ChatGPT help!), to say something that comes straight from the heart. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just real.
Because when emotions are true… you feel them. And you remember them forever.
